About baldwin concepts
Baldwin Concepts started in 2021. The engineering work started long before that.
Boudewijn Evenhuis founded Baldwin Concepts BV after 25 years in mechanical, automotive and machine engineering, including more than 20 years with the KTM Group. He started the company to take on engineering projects directly and to develop specialist products of his own.

BEFORE BALDWIN CONCEPTS
The route to starting the company.
The company is young but the experience behind it was built over decades of hard work, engineering projects and learning.

Love for engineering from young age
Mechanisms, computers, motorcycles and cars came before the engineering job title. Boudewijn learned by taking things apart, repairing them and figuring out why they worked.

More than 20 years with KTM Group
That period covered mechanical and automotive engineering and put Boudewijn inside demanding development environments for more than two decades. It isn't just about 20 years of work experience, it's also learning from great engineers every day for the same amount of time.

Top-level motorcycle racing
Part of that career was spent at the highest level of motorcycle racing. The work included hydraulic systems, composite structural products, calculations, FMEA, CAD, FEM, detailed drawings and prototype sourcing.

Baldwin Concepts BV
Baldwin Concepts was founded in November 2021 in Voorst, the Netherlands, to handle client engineering projects and develop Baldwin products.

Multiple projects done
Baldwin worked with multiple bigger clients on their project. Some of theme were Working from scratch and some requiered Baldwin team specialty only in some engineering fields.

Product development and sales
Baldwin Concepts BV designed and developed manual shock bleeder and applied for patent. Product was created to fill the gap between expensive automatic bleeders and taking bike or motor to specialised shop every time. Baldwin Shock Bleeder is now selling in multiple countries and our own website for competitive price.

Boudewijn still spends most of his time on the technical work.

Clients communicate directly with the founder and people doing the engineering, rather than passing technical decisions through a separate account or project-management layer.
Baldwin works with its own CAD licences and engineering workstation, so the client does not need to provide additional software or office space.
Electrical and automation work can be handled by third parties under Baldwin’s coordination, keeping one main contact for the project.
Boudewijn Evenhuis
Boudewijn leads Baldwin Concepts and remains involved in every project definition, mechanical design, CAD, FEM and technical decisions. His background spans mechanical, automotive and machine engineering, with extensive experience in motorsport and precision engineering. Although Boudewijn specializes in suspension systems, Baldwin Concepts can take on a wide range of projects with the support of its network of specialist partners.

BASED IN VOORST
Engineering work from the Netherlands, with clients and suppliers beyond it.
Baldwin works from its own engineering setup in Voorst. On-site assessment and travel can be agreed when a project needs it, and communication can be handled in English or German. Client engineering remains the core of the business, alongside development of Baldwin’s own specialist products.
